Venesha Mclean’s Practice primarily focuses on areas of employment, insolvency and commercial litigation.
Venesha joined HSM in 2015 and completed her articles of clerkship with a major international offshore law firm and qualified into their finance department specialising in asset finance and general corporate transactions. She also has an extensive corporate services and trust administration background, having worked in the Cayman Islands, London and Hong Kong for over 10 years with major corporate and trust services providers. She advises leading local employers and employees on a wide range of labour law matters, including contractual disputes, unfair dismissal and redundancy claims, the drafting of employment contracts, company policies and procedures. She also acts for liquidators and high net worth individuals advising on contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters.
Venesha is a member of the Cayman Islands Law Society and the Caymanian Bar Association. She is also the Chairman of the Caymanian Bar Association sub-committee for the proposed new Labour Law and Pensions Law.
