HSM IP Presents INTA Unreal Campaign at Cayman International School
HSM IP was pleased to present the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) Unreal Campaign to over 50 students at Cayman International School (CIS) on 15 May 2026.
HSM IP’s Mrinali Menon (Senior IP Manager) and Shirly Ramirez (IP Fees and Agent Relations Coordinator) led the presentation, which covers the importance of trade marks, intellectual property (IP) and the dangers of counterfeit products.
The INTA Unreal Campaign is a global programme taught all over the world and is geared towards 14- to 23-year-olds. Over the years, HSM IP has delivered several of these presentations in the Cayman Islands across different schools. The last presentation was delivered to over 200 students at John Gray High School on 24 September 2025.
As part of the presentation, the students enjoyed a game of “spot a fake”, where they had to guess which one was fake between two similar looking products.
Mrinali also covered the topics of plagiarism, technology, IP and the best practices concerning usage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms.
HSM IP Managing Partner, Huw Moses shares, “With the evolution of Artificial Intelligence, it is becoming increasingly harder to identify fake products and even identities. This presentation is an interactive way to connect with the younger generation to help combat counterfeits and protect creative works.”
HSM IP provides worldwide Intellectual Property (IP) services and specialises in Caribbean IP, including trade marks, patents, designs and more. Based in the Cayman Islands, their team delivers first-class services to a broad client base which includes major Fortune 500 brand owners, international law firms and other specialist IP practices.
