Whilst legislation is in place in Suriname for the registration of patents (pursuant to the Patent Act, 1910 (as amended) which provides for local patent applications) the Head of the Bureau for Industrial Property in the Ministry of Justice and Police is currently not accepting any patent applications until further notice. Therefore it is not possible, at this time, to register a patent in Suriname.
